If New Years Eve was any indication, 2012 promises to be a year full of surprises, lots of laughter and love (more on that later…and no, we are not expecting any new additions)! 🙂
But, for now, lets take a peek into how our Holidays were spent!
Christmas day, Truman rested peacefully on Grandmas lap…
Grandmas house was the hot spot for festivities the day after Christmas this year! She thrilled to pieces hosting everyone in Salina (and in stuffing everyone with her delicious food)!
It was our first Christmas without Grandpa, but Grandma incorporated his memory into gifts this year, making it very special. Some of my favorite memories of Grandpa involve hats and ties, so it was fitting that both were given to the grandkids. The boys cousins got to make a selection from his hat collection, and thanks to a wonderful idea Aunt Maribeth found here on pinterest, the girls received necklaces made from his tie collection!
****important notes for the next series of photos: 1) my “girl” cousins are actually all beautiful WOMEN now! 2) I will forever endure my dads marathon story telling as long as I can see my parents laugh like this 3) I loooove my new necklace made from Grandpas “dog” tie. Witnessing his passion for healing animals at his clinic are some of my favorite memores growing up. 4) my “boy” cousins (and Erik)…well…boys will be boys! Love them! ****
